I feel like the board Questions and Answers should be considered a notable board on the article, the reasons for this is that many memes and iconic images were birthed onto that board, the board was originally used as a meta for 4chan but later ended up being repurposed as a meme board. @Jimmybingus I agree, but there aren't many papers documenting 4chan culture in general, much less for Hiroyuki's bizarre mess board. If you can find any for us, I would be happy to collaborate with you. Ornov GangulyTALK14:54, 31 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Section about lingo/terms that 4chan uses/invented?
It should be noted to editors that 4chan has had a big impact on the internet, without a lot of people realising, a lot of "lingo" derives from 4chan, could it be possible to make a list? Ven3u69 (talk) 15:12, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It may need to accompany a reliable source, as many sources that caters trivial content like Know Your Meme and Urban Dictionary which have an extensive coverage of internet culture are User-Generated, which means anyone can edit, just like Fandom and YouTube. So, expect anyone who is from "UTTP, AUTTP, THDTC," makes these Klasky Csupo Videos or steal a piece of media and pretend it is I did x to y videos, albeit Vyonders or such several niche cartoon, VHS or TV Logo fans that appears in sporadic corners on the internet, edit in these websites, which greatly affects the reliability of a UGC Source. They might be seen on Fandom Wikis (e.g. Go!Anipedia) but rarely on Wikipedia due to incompetence to edit and already perceived bias pattern in other wikis. I see one "Logo-Editor" on Wikipedia, who is obsessed with Noto Serif, but couldn't find his account.
However, Wikipedia is not a dictionary, So just ask consensus from other editors if you want to include this list to this article, because I'm not that of a WikiExpert. However, there is a page on Wikitionary of slang and lingo of 4chan origin.
Not done This is not the right page to request additional user rights. If you want to suggest a change, please request this in the form "Please replace XXX with YYY" or "Please add ZZZ between PPP and QQQ". Please also cite reliable sources to back up your request, without which no information should be added to, or changed in, any article. - Arjayay (talk) 16:18, 7 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
